Lake Barrington Pepper Fest 2015

Looking for some fall family fun this weekend? Don’t miss the Lake Barrington Business Development Council’s 2nd annual Pepper Fest! This free event will be held along Pepper Road from Route 14 to Northpointe Parkway, and throughout the Pepper Road Business Park, from 11 am to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October first.

Sponsored by the Lake Barrington Business Development Council and supported by nearly 40 local businesses, Pepper Fest promises entertainment for the whole family. This year’s event will feature scarecrows, pumpkins, games, crafts, and a petting zoo for the children, along with three live bands offering a variety of music and plenty of adult beverages available for purchase. From alpacas to chocolate trucks, Pepper Fest has something for everyone including plenty of food, fun and fire trucks!

This year the Pepper Fest committee has invited local non-profit Animal Shelters and Rescue Groups to participate, free of charge. Each group will be there to promote their mission, share information on fundraising events and display adoptable pets at the fest

There will also be many shopping opportunities, as most local shops will be open during Pepper Fest. There will be craft and local market vendors at the event, as well. Free parking will be available at Canlan Sportsplex, Angel Water, and along Commercial and Industrial Avenues.

Complimentary posters and flyers are available for distribution and may be picked up at Pepper Park Coffee, 22000 N. Pepper Road. Event maps indicating sponsors, activities and locations, will be available the morning of Pepper Fest. Please contact Kathleen Scott, 773-562-1515 or klscott@ameritech.net, for additional information and sponsorship opportunities.

The Lake Barrington Business Development Council is a group of businesses working together to highlight the many exciting shops, restaurants and resources Lake Barrington has to offer. In addition to Pepper Fest, the group also organized Pepper Road’s first farmers market and is currently seeking vendors for a brand new indoor Winter Market on the first and third Sundays of each month, starting on Sunday, November 1.
