Celebrate Saint Patrick at 7th Annual 3-Day Barrington Celtic Fest

Who’s ready to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day, Barrington-style? The Village of Barrington is the PLACE to BE for the 7th annual Barrington Celtic Fest, which takes place in the huge heated tent on Park Avenue and at McGonigal’s Pub. The 3-day Irish fest is happening from Thursday, March 16th through Saturday, March 18th and is one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the Chicago suburbs!

Celtic Fest officially begins at 5 p.m. on March 16th and admission tot he festival IS FREE ALL WEEKEND! However, donations are appreciated to support the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

The agenda for Barrington Celtic Fest includes an impressive lineup of entertainment, featuring great live Irish & rock music, FIVE separate Irish Dance troupe performances, The Irish Boutique, a popular Irish retail merchant plus bagpipers, live DJ’s and, of course, a plentiful amount of food and beverages both in the outdoor festival tent and within the Pub.

Limited seating for dining is available on a first-come, first-served basis in The Loft, which is the Pub’s spacious 2nd level, plus there will be numerous tables in the festival tent.

The entire event is located in downtown Barrington, centered around McGonigal’s Pub at 105 S. Cook Street, which is located one block east of Rt. 59 (Hough Street) and half a block south of Lake-Cook Road (Main Street). Access to the event via the Union Pacific Northwest Metra Rail is very convenient as the festival is located only two blocks west of the Barrington Station. An ample amount of free parking will be available all weekend in the Metra train station and throughout the downtown Barrington area.
