The Arboretum of South Barrington has a HUGE announcement this holiday season. For the first time ever, they’ll be hosting Santa visits with children ALL SEASON LONG, starting with his grand entrance during the Arboretum’s annual Holiday Festival & celebration coming up on November 11th!
Presented by Mooney Lyons Financial Services for the second year in a row, The Arb’s Holiday Festival is a day of fun family activities. At 11 a.m. sharp, they’ll be welcoming Santa on a fire truck with a parade around the mall, Santa story time and the official season opening of the Arboretum on Ice outdoor skating rink. SURPRISE… This year Santa will be at The Arboretum of South Barrington all season long to take pictures with families. You’ll find him at his holiday home all season between LOFT and Sur La Table. By the way, Santa will be reading a story from the fire truck after his arrival and before the photos begin. The first 50 families in line at the end of Santa’s parade route will receive a free 5’x7′ picture with St. Nick! Santa photos are presented by Sweet Baby Rays Catering.
Be the first to skate this year at Arboretum on Ice, the Arboretum of South Barrington’s 7,200 square foot real ice skating rink. During this year’s Holiday Festival, you can glide on the ice with the Grinch, skate with Olaf, and enjoy tunes from the 1970’s during the Disco Skate session in the evening.

Arboretum on Ice opens for the 2017-2018 Skating Season. Sharpen your skates! - 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Rock out with Star 105.5FM at Arboretum on Ice, enjoy music and giveaways - 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
FREE FACE PAINTING at Arboretum on Ice - 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Skate with Olaf - 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Skate with the Grinch - 5:30 p.m.
Animated Tree Lighting Show – iPic Plaza near Arboretum on Ice (arrive early to ensure your spot for the light show, space on the plaza fills fast!) - 6 p.m to 6:30 p.m.
Holiday Dance Performance Compliments of HOTT Productions NFP Dance Company - 7 p.m. to – 8 p.m.
Disco Skate – Presented by Mooney Lyons Financial Services: Skate to music from the 70’s, skate monitors will be dressed in Disco gear and event guests are encouraged to also come dressed in Disco Gear! Free glow sticks will be provided for all skaters. All guests are encouraged to come dressed in Disco gear, because, why not? - 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
