by Ben & Miranda Gustafson of The Modern Farmette
Nothing reminds us more of being home for the Holidays than family brunches at one of our favorite spots in town — Egg Harbor Café. The smell of English muffins toasting, the bustle of the Barrington lunch hour, and the warmth of every smiling face who greets us during our brunch make me feel right at home.
Egg Harbor Café values the experience and, here at Modern Farmette, Ben & I are BIG on experiences. From the moment we walk in the door, an ordinary day is always transformed into a warming and overwhelmingly inviting experience — and I believe this is what sets Egg Harbor Café apart from the rest.
With dinner parties and Christmas cookies in abundance, keeping meals light whenever possible is always on our mind, especially during the Holiday season. One of the things I *love* so much about Egg Harbor Café is their attention to quality and healthy menu offerings. Thereʼs no better spot for the most enjoyable experience paired with a healthy lunch on a chilly autumn or winter afternoon.
Ben and I love to talk about food — I mean we could seriously talk about it all day! The Door County Melt paired with a cup of warm Tomato Bisque is one of my personal favorites — the perfect cure to warm us on a snowy afternoon.
One of our seasonal favorites is the Harvest Salad. This salad is packed with avocado and chicken and topped with caramelized almonds & cranberries! The extra infusion of protein always leaves us feeling refreshed and energized to get through the rest of our day.
A visit to Egg Harbor is never complete without cozying up with a handcrafted latte or cappuccino. My absolute favorite right now is the Activated Charcoal Latte. The depth of flavor is so unique and something I had never experienced until visiting Egg Harbor Café.
So this Holiday season when your family is in town, or youʼre in the midst of the shopping bustle, be sure to stop by Egg Harbor Café for an exceptional brunch experience. You will leave feeling nourished and cheered by an incredible team and heart-warming food. Egg Harborʼs genuine care for every customer who steps through their door is what makes this gem in the heart of Barrington shine so bright.
