Harlem Wizards Coming to Take On Barrington 220 Teachers!

The Harlem Wizards are returning for a second year to take on Barrington 220 teachers and staff in a game filled with tricks, hoops, and alley-oops on Friday, February 22nd! Basketball fans will be treated to great skills, teamwork, slick dribbling and crazy slams. The non-hoop fans attending will find out that this is much more than just a basketball game. The night is funny, theatrical, exciting and spectacular and the gym will reverberate with oohs & aahs and lots of laughter. All are welcome to come and watch the action.

Sponsored by the Roslyn Road PTO, the game will take place in the Barrington High School Gym at 7 pm (Doors open at 6 pm). Tickets are $10 and up at HarlemWizards.com. A portion of the ticket fee will return to your home school. There’s a drop-down menu to select your school when purchasing tickets.

The Wizards will be paying visits to several Barrington 220 schools for assemblies on the day of the event and Barrington Park District Recreation Supervisor, Kent Hengels will be officiating the game!

Started in 1962 by New York sports promoter Howie Davis, The Harlem Wizards are a show basketball entity delivering wildly successful fundraiser events for schools and nonprofits. One of eight elementary schools in the Barrington 220 district, Roslyn Road Elementary serves approximately 400 students in grades K-5. It is located at 224 Roslyn Road in Barrington. The original Roslyn opened in 1958, north of Roslyn Road and east of Exmoor Avenue. The current building opened in 2002.
