Egg Harbor Café manager, Taki Mullins says they’ll be rolling out the red carpet to celebrate Barrington area moms this Mother’s Day weekend. They’re nearly doubling the staff on hand to accommodate the guests they’re expecting on Saturday & Sunday. “Mother’s Day is the biggest deal here at Egg Harbor Café. It’s like our Super Bowl, the busiest day of the year for us when we get to welcome so many new guests.”
They’ve even prepared a special menu item for moms this weekend, called “The Queen’s Omelette”. “It’s a three egg omelette filled with lobster, diced asparagus and fresh tomato then topped with hollandaise sauce, grilled asparagus spears and fresh, cold salmon served with harbor potatoes, English muffin and preserves,” Taki says. “It’s very colorful, it’s very light and we created it especially for moms, our guests of honor this weekend.”
Taki says the Egg Harbor Café team looks forward to and prepares for Mother’s Day weekend all year long. “We welcome so many moms throughout the entire year when they bring in their children, husbands, families, friends and coworkers. Mother’s Day is THE DAY for us to personally thank them because there’s no one more special in this world than a mom. They’re the glue to everyone’s family and we want to show them how much they’re appreciated.”
