Mother Nature is forecast to deliver a bright, bright, sunshiny day for the 11th annual Deer Park Music & Wine Festival presented by the Village of Deer Park at Deer Park Town Center. Bring your friends, family and your lawn chairs for an exciting lineup of live music from 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 12!

Deer Park Town Center marketing manager, Angelika Fejklowicz, says all are welcome to come out and enjoy the festivities! “The Music & Wine Festival is back with a new program to feature different genres of music from jazz, R&B, Blues, pop and more with performances by a spectacular lineup of artists,” said Fejklowicz. “We are excited for guests to enjoy our beautiful outdoor space, grab a drink or takeout from our on-site food options, and join us for an evening filled with amazing music outdoors.”

The event is headlined by the 2023 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, and Volunteer Services Award recipient, Bear Williams. Williams is a Chicago-based blues, Americana, and folk artist with a music career spanning over 35 years—resulting in him working with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry.

The music kicks off at 1 p.m. from School of Rock, a multi-location music school where aspiring musicians learn, bringing their talents from the classroom to the main stage.

Pat Mallinger is a staple in the Chicago community, as he has performed every Saturday night at the Green Mill Lounge over the last 30 years. Mallinger will take festival goers through the sounds of jazz and funk with his saxophone and band.

The Anthony Bruno Band brings pop appreciation to the concept of improvised music rooted in jazz and R&B. Bruno has thrived with a successful solo career including 12 record releases and a full-length upcoming record of all original music, releasing in 2023.

The festival will take place in the Gazebo area, near LensCrafters and Yankee Candle. The event is free to the public and attendees of all ages are encouraged to bring their own chairs because seating is limited.

A curated selection of fine wines and craft beers will be available for purchase for cash or $20 minimum with credit cards. Attendees are encouraged to order takeout from Deer Park Town Center restaurants including Biaggi’s, California Pizza Kitchen and the new Sweetgreen, and check out food options from on-site food trucks Kissed by Fire BBQ & Pizza and Aunt Tina’s Sound Bites for a limited time.

Outside alcoholic beverages, coolers and food are not permitted in the shopping center. The festival is weather-dependent and may be canceled at any time.
