There’s a brand new school in Barrington dedicated to teaching students of all ages how to create great photography and use digital media to perfect and publish images. Barrington photographer, Susan McConnell, is launching a new branch of her business this week by unveiling her new Barrington photography school named Musée School of Photography and Digital Media.
Susan will be teaching a series of classes out of her downtown Barrington photography studio at 110 E. Main Street. The well lit space is equipped with the photography and technology tools of Susan’s trade which she’ll use to help teach these classes….
She’s keeping the class sizes deliberately small so there will be plenty of opportunities for Susan’s one-on-one approach to teaching. The classes are being offered for adults as well as middle and high schoolers. Susan sums up her school’s mission with this simple statement:
“Photographing the people we love and the places we frequent; photography is a part of everyone’s life now. At Musée, we’re passionate about photography and digital media and we’re passionate about passing on our knowledge so that your photographs can be all they are supposed to be … all that you need them to be. Taking great photographs from the start, that’s important. Using editing tools to turn your images into something spectacular, that’s even more important. And then using those images along with your voice, that’s the ultimate.”
Here’s a look at Susan’s descriptions of the school’s three debut classes:
