Fourth and fifth graders at Countryside Elementary School have organized a community 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run this weekend and they’re asking us to lace up our running shoes to join them in raising money for Walk On Farm.
Walk On Farm is a horseback riding center on Cuba Road in Barrington devoted to making life easier for people with disabilities. Families who live many miles from Barrington drive their kids to Walk On weekly to experience the joy of horseback riding and the confidence and strength it builds in special needs riders like Danielle Sulaski from Aurora, Illinois.
Danielle is living with Cerebral Palsy after suffering a stroke at birth. Danielle’s grandfather, Bob Hunt, says she’s a different girl when she loses her walker and climbs on a horse.…
