The merchants in downtown Barrington are kicking off the holiday season this weekend with a Wine Walk from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. this Saturday, November 17th. It’s a fun and festive way to sip a little wine while you shop for some of those gifts you’ll be putting under the tree this year.
Free wine tastings and other treats will be served at The Holiday Wine Walk. 15 shops and five restaurants are participating. Guests can begin the Wine Walk at any participating business, where event maps will be available for you to pick up with location details for the various tastings.
Here are the participating businesses…
Village Center Merchants: Mia Sorella, Notice, Angelina, Bravura Home & Gift Shop, ReDeFind, Urban Flair, Grassroots, Acacia Organics and Tivoli Gardens.
Lageschulte Street: Norton’s U.S.A., Barrington’s uniquely American general store, will host tastings and holiday shopping specials.
The Ice House Mall: There will be wine tastings at the Barrington Cultural Arts Center, Savvy Spirit, Solisq, Tommy Terri and Tootsies (formerly Young Tootsies).
The wines are being provided by Heinen’s Fine Foods, Ciao Baby and Chessie’s. McGonigal’s Pub and The Annex are also taking part as sponsors. So if you’re up for searching for one-of-a-kind gifts to give to your loved ones this year, the Holiday Wine Walk is a great way to do it! It’s the third Wine Walk to be held in 2012 and merchants say they love rolling out the red carpet for shoppers so come see what all the buzz is about. Let’s get this holiday season started!
