It’s sometimes too easy for the hustle and bustle of the holidays to overshadow the actual meaning of the Christmas celebration. So they’re offering moments of reflection and beautiful music with a special concert this weekend at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Barrington. The concert will include soloists, The Crystal Brass from Crystal Lake, Illinois, flute, oboe, timpani and other percussion instruments along with choral and handbell choirs.
The concert and service will last from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 9th, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 720 Dundee Avenue, in Barrington. In addition to the music, there will be readings appropriate for the Advent and Christmas season.
