There’s nothing that can warm up a cold winter day like a piping hot bowl of chili – or SEVEN! If sampling seven spicy bean stews in one afternoon sounds like your cup of chili, you have to check out this weekend’s fourth annual Chilly Challenge Chili Cookoff at The Arboretum of South Barrington.
Seven restaurants will be serving up chilis specially created for this annual event, but only one will reign supreme. For $10, you can tour the Arboretum at your leisure and sample generous portions of signature chili’s from seven of the mall’s finest destinations. A complimentary trolley service will be provided.
At the very end, those of you who enter votes for your favorite chili of the day will be entered into a drawing to win great prizes. You will also have a say in which chef will hold the reigning title of “The Best Chili at The Arboretum”.
Participating restaurants include: Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Cooper’s Hawk Winery, iPic Theaters, Georgio’s Chicago Pizzeria, Pinstripes, L’Eiffel Bistrot, Anna Shea Chocolates and Potbelly.
The Chilly Challenge will happen this Saturday, January 19th, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Registration begins at 12:30 at Pinstripes and they highly recommend that you sign up in advance by calling 847-426-6200. You can also CLICK HERE to purchase tickets online.
