If it’s been a while since you’ve shopped at Young Tootsies shoe store at The Ice House Mall, you might be surprised to see the store’s new look. Not only did they move to a new location in the mall, the popular spot for children’s shoes now offers shoes for women as well.
The owner, Doug “The Shoe Guy” Pekarek, is planning a three-day grand opening celebration next week and inviting us all to come check out what’s new at the popular Barington shoe shop.
If you need a pair of new boots, shoes or sandals for yourself or for your kids, why not join the party while you do your shopping? Here’s the schedule of Young Tootsie’s events planned for the Grand Opening next week.
Thursday March 7th:
Ribbon cutting by Barrington Chamber at 530pm.
Treats and drinks from 4-7pm.
Chocolates from Wicked Chocolates.
Friday March 8th:
11:00am Susan Witek master puppeteer perform (3 Goats & Friend.)
1:00pm Neil Whitman singer of songs, teller of tales.
Saturday March 9th:
1-3pm balloon artist “The Amazing Jack Longo”
1-3pm face painting by Diane Hardy.
4pm drawing for Schwinn Tricycle and Maxi-Kickboard.
