It sure was fun while it lasted. But, alas, today is the last day of summer break, 2013. Barrington 220 students in grades 1-12 will again hit the books as they head back to school this Tuesday, August 20th. 365BarringtonTV reporter Catherine Goetze is among the students preparing for the first day of the new academic year this week. She’s getting ready to start her senior year at Barrington High School and brought a camera crew along to capture the excitement of student registration week.
We also asked Catherine to catch up with Barrington 220 administrators to get a feel for some of the things they’re looking forward to most as we start the new school year.
She talked with Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Tom Leonard, to find out what’s in store and how he spends the first day of the new school year. She asked BHS and Prairie Middle School principals about some exciting new tech tools students will have access to this year. And she takes us on a tour of the brand new Small Business Incubator classroom at Barrington High School in her latest video report for 365BarringtonTV…

And a special thanks to incoming BHS junior, Dan Roth, and sophomore, Jack Coombs, for filming our Back to School interviews and video for Catherine’s 365BarringtonTV coverage. Have fun during your first day back at school!
