Excited guests filled the Barrington Area Library for “The Remix” grand reopening event on Sunday celebrating the completion of 14-months of library renovations. From the library’s new “active play” Youth Services Area to the new digital studio, businesses cubicles, collaborative areas, conference rooms and more, the library’s systems and spaces are now completely updated and officially open to the community.
With so many new areas to explore, we thought this would be the perfect assignment for 365BarringtonTV’s Alex Gaul. In his latest report for our new “Barrington Uncovered” video series, Alex takes us behind the scenes of the newly “remixed” Barrington Area Library and talks to the people who made it all possible.
A special thanks to BHS-TV student, Kyle Johnson, who filmed this edition of “Barrington Uncovered”.

If you missed the grand opening, you can check out the library at your leisure at 505 N. Northwest Highway in Barrington and enjoy this slideshow of photos from Sunday’s festivities. To all of our friends at the Barrington Area Library, we know a renovation like this comes with quite a bit of temporary chaos. Congratulations on this awesome achievement!
