Barrington’s 4th of July Festival Brat Tent has officially reopened for three days of fun focused on celebrating families, the Fourth and the men and women of the U.S. military.
The community’s annual Brat Tent tradition kicks off Barrington’s 4th festivities each year and 365BarringtonTV reporter James Owen was there to connect with people out enjoying an early start to the holiday.
There is much more fun and excitement planned at this year’s Brat Tent. CLICK HERE for the full lineup of kids’ activities, speakers, demonstrations, food and live music scheduled for this year’s festival. James’ report covers it all, but be prepared to walk away hungry with cravings for a brat, hot off the grill, and an icy cold beverage on the side…
A big thanks to the very talented filmer Tommy Derken for his role in creating our 2014 Brat Tent video.
And if you’re planning to visit the Brat Tent this week, they ask that you consider bringing the following items to be donated to participating organizations benefiting members of the military. They say that any of these items would be greatly appreciated…
-Crackers (1lb or less)
-Tuna
-Popcorn (microwaved)
-Rice Krispy Treats
-Individual cold drink mix or coffee singles
-Hand sanitizer
-Hand Lotion
-Insect Repellent*
