The Barrington 220 School District just announced an exciting new partnership between Sunny Hill Elementary School and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Boys & Girls Clubs of America has a strong reputation for providing after-school activities to foster learning, growth and play and Sunny Hill has been invited to take part in the BGCA’s Great Futures Campaign.
Starting this school year, these outstanding programs will be offered at Sunny Hill Elementary School, thanks to a new partnership between Barrington 220 and the Boys & Girls Club of Dundee Township.
A unit of the club will be open at the school, serving its students every school day from 3:45 to 7 p.m. Homework assistance, recreational activities, arts & crafts, life skills programs and more will be offered.
This partnership is part of a larger national campaign involving clubs and schools across the country. Hundreds of clubs and schools nationwide will be holding events simultaneously, highlighting the impact of the Boys & Girls Clubs during after-school hours.
The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America is to enable all young people, especially those with greatest need, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of young people by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and pride.
