Your chills will be multiplying during Barrington High School’s upcoming performances of this year’s musical, GREASE! Come see your favorite childhood songs brought to life on stage by BHS Fine Arts Department performers, from “Summer Nights” to “Greased Lightning” to “You’re the One That I Want” and more!
The iconic show features Rydell High’s senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding “Burger Palace Boys” and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking “Pink Ladies” in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical.
Head “greaser” Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their “Summer Nights” as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through the show. Watch the classic struggles of fitting in and being the new kid, as well as the struggle to find your one true love.
Performers will recreate GREASE, BHS-style on February 26th, 27th, and 28th (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) at 7 p.m. with additional shows at 2 p.m. on February 28 and March 1 (Saturday and Sunday). Admission costs $13 for adults and $9 for children and students. Senior Citizens are admitted for free!
