If you’re looking for an escape during these last days of winter, spring is in the air at Evereve, Deer Park Town Center’s fashion resource for busy moms and working women on the go. Formerly Hot Mama, the upscale boutique offers on-trend, contemporary apparel and accessories that will keep you looking great and feeling fashionable, even when you’re being pulled in a million different directions.
As a mom to three young kids, I head to Evereve whenever my wardrobe needs a jolt of style or color. They offer a kids’ table and toys to entertain the tots while you shop and you’ll discover looks on display that you’ll want to wear right out of the store. So I recently popped by for a visit with Store Manager Kristina Heath to ask her what’s on trend for the new season. With the help of two stylists modeling some of the store’s latest merchandise, Kristina clued me in to these two new looks for busy moms…
White Raw Hem Denim with a Graphic Tee
“Our stylist, Keri Stanley, is wearing 7 For All Mankind denim in white with a raw edge on the hem which is really hot for spring. White denim just looks so fresh and clean this year and we have a ton of styles so it’ll work for every body type. It looks great with a sneaker or a little bit of a wedge heel and then a graphic tee which is another big trend we are seeing for spring. This graphic tee from Sundry is going to be a little more bold in color against the white backdrop of the denim so it adds a little punch.”
Kristina says the best thing about this hem is how it changes over time. “You can cuff it for a cleaner look or leave it and, as you wear the denim, the raw edge hem will deconstruct even more and give it more interest.”
A piece that’s as stylish as it is versatile, Kristina says you can wear white denim here and now, or in warmer climates if you’re heading out of town for spring break.
And she says versatility is also key to this second look modeled by Evereve stylist, Kelly Baggett…
The Jogger Pant
“Kelly is wearing an AG denim jacket with a jogger, which is a soft pant,” Kristina says. “It’s like an updated sweat pant that’s not a sweat pant so you can dress it up or dress it down. While Kelly’s look is fairly casual with a Franco Sarto wedge, a Three Dots tank and a denim jacket, you can also dress it up with a cute little cami, statement necklace and pump for a date night.”
Kristina also says women love the jogger because they’re so wearable. “Many of our joggers are in a really soft material that’s breezy, moveable and has some flow to it with elastic at the bottom that you can wear cuffed. All of the pieces Kelly is wearing are great if you’re traveling for spring break because they’re easily layered. You can throw on a denim jacket when you are leaving to wear on the plane where it’s cool and take the jacket off as soon as you arrive at your destination.”
Kristina says both Keri’s white denim with graphic tee and Kelly’s joggers represent the ease, versatility and comfort of Evereve’s selection this season. “These are spring pieces that every mom should have in her closet because they work with a lot and you can go from day to night just by changing out a couple of accessories. You’ll feel comfortable running after the kids during the day and then you can meet your husband for date night afterwards,” Kristina says. “That’s what Evereve is all about.”
