Having taught kindergarten at Saint Anne Parish School in Barrington for eight years, I am excited to welcome anyone interested in learning more about our preschool and kindergarten offerings during two upcoming events. We’ll be hosting a Preschool/Kindergarten Open House at Saint Anne Parish School after 9 a.m. mass on Sunday, April 12th. Parents are also invited to bring their children to our Kindergarten for a Day event on Thursday, April 16th.
At Saint Anne Parish School we have established a kindergarten program which we believe lays the foundation for successful learning. We recognize that each child enters kindergarten with a unique set of background experiences and a wide range of abilities. It is with that understanding that we have developed a kindergarten curriculum designed to support the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth of each and every child.
We, at Saint Anne Parish School also believe that children are naturally inquisitive, and given the right stimuli, will respond to learning in a wondrous manner. We believe it is essential that children have a good sense of self, along with a strong foundation of Christian values to give them the confidence they need to succeed.
The goal of the kindergarten program is to meet the individual needs of each child, striving to integrate knowledge, faith and Catholic values into each day. Our program recognizes the seven intelligences and uses a multi-sensory approach to learning. Thematic Units are used to teach literacy and integrate science and social studies. There is a different theme each month, communicated through our newsletter. Particular attention is given to the bridging of oral and written language and the teaching of reading and writing.
The Saint Anne Parish School Full Day Kindergarten program has been in place for over 20 years and is very successful! We would love to have you schedule a visit and check out our wonderful school! During Kindergarten for a Day, children will spend the morning in a kindergarten classroom while parents split time between talking with teachers and the school principal and observing students in class.

Saint Anne Parish School is now accepting registrations for the 2015-2016 school year in Preschool through 8th Grade. Here are the available options for all grade levels:
- Preschool
- 5 day a week full day classes for 3 year olds and 4/5 year olds
- 5 day a week morning classes for 3 and 4/5 year olds
- 4 day a week afternoon classes for 4/5 year olds
- 2, 3 or 5 day a week morning classes for 3 year olds
- Full Day and Half Day Kindergarten
- Openings in grades 1 through 8
- Before and After School Care for all grade levels
- 20+ Co-Curricular Activities
- Nurturing Environment with Small Class Sizes

About the Author
Janinne Joseph has been teaching both full and half day kindergarten at Saint Anne Parish School for eight years. She teaches with passion, love and creativity while educating, motivating and inspiring her students to be lifelong learners all while allowing them to use their God given talents.
Janinne has a Bachelors in Education from Carthage College and a Masters in Reading from Olivet Nazarene University and is a lifelong learner who enjoys growing to be the best that she can be in order to educate her students at Saint Anne Parish School.
