189. Barrington Community Theatre to Present “And the Award Goes To” at Sanfilippo Estate

Tickets are on sale now for an entertaining evening of song and dance at the prestigious Sanfilippo Estate in Barrington Hills.  The theater will be filled with the sounds of Tony Award winning songs on Saturday, July 11th, when Barrington Community Theatre presents “And the Award Goes To”, under the direction of Nancie Tobison and  Ellen Werksman.  Seating is limited and offered online by advance purchase only.

Doors open at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 11th.  For members of the audience, the evening will begin with an informal tour of the Mansion followed by the 8 pm performance of “And the Award Goes To”. At the conclusion of the performance, guests will be invited to see the infamous Carousel Room.

Nancie Tobison and Ellen WerksmanDirectors Nancie Tobison and Ellen Werksman created the Barrington Artz Center for students who wish to focus on training in the arts. Together, they are partnering with the Barrington High School P.A. Alumni Endowment and the Sanfilippo Foundation to present the second annual presentation of Barrington Community Theatre.

BCT is proud to bring Musical Theatre back to the forefront for the area residents, creating an accessible venue for patrons to enjoy an evening of Musical Theatre while supporting local talent. “Our community is filled with talented actors, singers and dancers,” Nancie says.  “We hope to continue to bring their gifts to the stage, in various formats, for many years to come!”

Choreographer and Barrington High School Alum Ellen Werksman adds,  “Many of our performers are BHS Alumni, others come from nearby communities to participate. We so enjoy the collaborative environment that BCT creates! ”

One from Paypal, our Credit Card processing service which will serve as your receipt of payment, and another email from the Sanfilippo Foundation which will contain your ticket information and a map to the private Estate.

If this is your first time visiting the Sanfilippo Estate, they encourage you to arrive closer to 7 pm than 8 pm to enjoy the Collection. Business Casual is the suggested dress. No food or drink will be available, so we encourage you to visit one of Barrington’s fine restaurants before or after the show.
