Hundreds of people came out to support children who benefit from JourneyCare’s pediatric hospice and palliative care programs at the Barrington Park District pool on Sunday.  JourneyCare’s annual Duck Races have become a favorite summer tradition  in Barrington.

For some fun in the sun supporting a great local cause, guests of all ages adopt ducks that are sent racing down the pool’s slide for a chance to win prizes… all while raising funds to help children in need of end-of-life care, pain and symptom management.  Enjoy photos from Sunday’s event, courtesy of Barrington photographer, Bob Lee.

JourneyCare provides compassionate end-of-life care, pain and symptom management to 900 patients a day in ten Illinois counties making every moment count for those touched by serious illness and loss.  For more information about JourneyCare’s programs, including their pediatric support and services, visit JourneyCare.org.
