You don’t have to go far to find gifts for everyone on your holiday shopping lists this year. Barrington’s Ice House Mall truly has something for everyone and we’ve put together a list of gift ideas you can find with a quick trip to the Ice House.
But you might want to bring the little ones in your life shopping with you when you go. Have you heard about the brand new “Real Deal” Santa at the Ice House this year? He bears a striking resemblance to St. Nick. (Read more about the Ice House’s Must-See-Santa HERE.)
Don’t forget that they are offering extended vising hours with Santa on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of Christmas week. He’ll be visiting with families from noon to 3 p.m. on Monday, December 21st through Wednesday, December 23rd.
Photographer Liz Benedetto recently took photos from around the Ice House so you can do a little “window shopping” in advance. Here are just a few of the many thoughtful gifts that await…

Gift Idea: Owen Glass Jewelry
Antique Czechoslovakian glass crystals originally made for chandeliers and lamps in the 20’s and 30’s, Owen Glass jewelry is truly a treasure. Buried in barrels to prevent the Nazis from finding them, Allen Owen heard about the lost crystals on a trip to Czechoslovakia. After extensive research, he finally located the collection. Upon returning to the U.S., Allen found molds hidden in the bottom of the barrels. These molds represented shapes that were not included with the originals. Allen returned to Czechoslovakia and sought the expertise of old world glass masters to help create new crystals from the antique molds. Allen also uses Austrian crystals, semi-precious stones, and other Art Deco glass crystals. The ear wires are either sterling silver or gold-filled metal. Once in a Blue Moon owner, Bob Moon, offers one of the largest collections of Owen Glass jewelry available to the public in the U.S.
