Our new Guess Where Wednesday mystery photo of the week is a favorite Barrington destination where family and friends gather. I recently snapped this photo while spending a little one-on-one time with my first grader. Can you guess where we were?
If you know where we snapped this week’s mystery photo, enter your guess below for a chance to win our weekly prize which is somehow linked to the place where the photo was taken.
Now to our last mystery photo. It was a tough one because you have to really pay attention to some of the views around town to know where photographer Kate Smith took the picture. But we do have a winner who correctly guessed that it’s a snapshot of a painting hanging on the wall at Cook Street Coffee. And the winner’s name is… JOHATHAN MATTA!!! Congratulations and thanks for your guess, Jonathan. We’ll be in touch with details about your prize, which is a pound of Conscious Cup coffee and a $5 gift card to one of our favorite local cafes, Cook Street Coffee.
The artwork currently on display at Cook Street Coffee is part of the Vibe Collection, paintings by artist Nhung Due from Hanoi, Vietnam. The artists’ bio hanging on the wall at Cook Street Coffee reads, “Hanoi is an area with a longstanding history of war with multiple countries. Despite the war torn nature of the country, any traveler visiting this region of the world will certainly be humbled by the beauty of Vietnam, including its people… Nhung, perhaps one of the kindest individuals, is an extremely talented artist. The beauty of her depicted canvas overpowers the underlying historical hardships that many people of her culture have faced, and continue to face today.”
The pieces on display at Cook Street Coffee are currently for sale. If you are interested, 10% of profits will go to your choice of Save the Children (Vietnam) or Wounded Warrior Project (U.S.). Contact Zach Witt at 406-599-3689 or email@example.com for more information about the Vibe Collection.
You’ll find Cook Street Coffee at 100 East Station Street, right at the corner of Station and Cook Streets in Barrington. For hours and to learn more about the family business, CLICK HERE to connect with the cafe on Facebook or visit CookStreetCoffee.com.
