With Easter weekend finally here, an April snowstorm behind us and temperatures on the rise, it won’t be long now before it’s officially patio season at Barrington’s Egg Harbor Café! Until then, we’re warming up over brunch on these last cool days of spring. My daughter and her friend were craving the perfect cup of hot cocoa together at Egg Harbor Café on a day off school. They were giddy over extra large mugs with whipped cream piled high and colorful sprinkles on top.
There’s something about gathering for brunch that seems decadent. Time slows down while lingering over coffee and cocoa with an opportunity to chat about all the latest. Every time we visit Egg Harbor Café we are greeted with the team’s warm smiles and always feel welcomed as if walking into grandma’s house.
With so many delicious items on the menu it’s always tough for me to choose. During our latest visit, my daughter went straight for the Nutella French Toast.
We enjoyed avocado toast with fresh arugula and grape tomatoes along with with overeasy eggs and fig balsamic vinegar.
Egg Harbor Café’s skillets never disappoint. Hot crispy potatoes with fresh veggies, sausage and eggs. And I always enjoy the Joe’s Healthy Scrambler with chicken sausage mushrooms, spinach, roasted onions and eggs topped with creamy melted mozzarella.
Soon we will be sitting outside on Egg Harbor Café’s patio enjoying breakfast and brunch in the sunshine. For now, the sun-filled dining room, warm smiles and hot chocolate make it a perfect way to spend a morning #TogetherAtEggHarborCafe.
