A special spring performance of “Sleeping Beauty” is the latest celebration of Barrington Dance Ensemble’s 30th anniversary in 2019. The BDE chose “Sleeping Beauty” as its first mainstage production after it was founded in 1989. This weekend they’ll bring the classic to life for the fifth time since then with two performances at Barrington High School.

Set in a magical fairy kingdom, student dancers from Barrington Dance Academy will join BDE company members and professional guest artists on stage in the retelling of the beloved fairy tale. Celebrating 30 years of dance excellence, BDE is proud to present this “crown jewel” of a classic ballet to area audiences.

This weekend’s performances will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 14th and 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15th at Barrington High School’s Richard Johnson C. Auditorium.
