On this day, March 11th in 2012, the American folk rock band, The Lumineers released the music video for their breakthrough hit song, “Ho Hey“. The song was released on June 4, 2012, as the lead single from their debut self-titled studio album.
The song was originally created during band members, Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites’ time in New York in response to disinterested concert-goers. “That song was an effort to get under people’s skin at shows in Brooklyn, where everyone is pretty indifferent,” Schultz told American Songwriter. “And I figured if we could punctuate it with shouts we might get someone’s attention.”

Build your own mexican fiesta bowl!
𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬
-1/2 cup brown rice cooked
-1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
-12 ounces grilled chicken, chopped
-2 cups bell peppers chopped
-2 cloves garlic
-1 tbsp olive oil
-1 avocado
Pico 🍅
2 plum tomatoes
1/2 lime Freshly squeezed lime juice
1 red onion
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
1. Sauté peppers, onion, and garlic in olive oil
2. Combine sautéed veggies with rice, black beans, and grilled chicken.
3. Fresh Pico: Chop tomatoes, add salt, pepper, and chopped cilantro. Squeeze the onion. Mix well.
4. Top with 1/3 avocado per bowl
5. Divide the mixture into 3 servings

Meet Barrington Public Works staff at this family-friendly event. Featuring free food, giveaways, Touch-a-Truck, demonstrations, facility tours and more! Non-perishable food donations will also be collected to benefit the Barrington and Cuba Township Food Pantries.
Limited parking will be available on-site at the Public Works Facility, including ADA spaces. Overflow parking will be available at Barrington High School and the District 220 administrative office. Directional signage will be placed throughout the area, and Village staff will be helping to direct traffic. Please note there will be no street parking permitted on Raymond Avenue, Laverne Lane or N. Hager Avenue between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in order to accommodate event traffic.
