As we move away from winter and closer to spring, more volunteer opportunities are available on the Barrington Area Volunteer Connection (BAVC) platform. Spring Break is a good time for students to gain some extra hours especially if they are staying local. Below is a sample of some of our current volunteer opportunities or visit our website at www.thebavc.org to see the full list.

Hill & Dale Preserve (new location)

Each May, CFC hosts one of the oldest and largest native plant sales in Illinois. Since its start in 1996, the plant sale has grown to selling over 20,000 plants each year, expanding native habitat in yards throughout the Chicago region. Last year CFC had more than 100 volunteers contribute 1,400 hours to help make the sale a success!

Various Positions are available for help pre and post plant sale (end of April – early May) — Click here to learn more.
