The Spring season is coming up soon and for Barrington Area Volunteer Connection (BAVC) that means more opportunities to volunteer for outdoor events and family oriented activities. Currently available on the BAVC platform are the following:

Barrington Farmers Market is looking for community volunteers to help gear up for the 2023 season!

A Farm Market Planner is needed to help build a well rounded market for the community and promote the market prior to the market’s opening on June 15th. This is a great way to impact the vendors that are featured each week. Positions are also available for a Market Maker to assist on the committee and help with the market preparations.

HOPE’s IN is looking for assistance with their social media!

Open to volunteers age 16 and up! Hope’s In need your help to convey their story and mission digitally, run social media accounts, and connect people with the cause.

Spring Creek Stewards has volunteer spots for help in the Preserve!

Volunteer needed to help restore the ecological health of Spring Creek Forest Preserve through workdays and to also promote the mission through social media of the Spring Creek Stewards.

Shelter Inc’s Shamrock Beer Run 5k on March 18th needs volunteers to help out at the Shelter table at the race’s turnaround point.
