If you’re new to Barrington or if you’ve lived here forever but just want to meet some new people, there’s a great opportunity for that this week. The “Barrington Newcomers and Neighbors” group is hosting their annual open house from 9:30 to 11:30 tomorrow morning to share what they’re all about and welcome new members. It’s a chance to learn about the group’s many social activities, like the wine tasting event shown in this photo.
The Club’s motto is “Make friends, have fun” and it’s open to anyone who…
lives in the 60010 zip code or within School District 220. The group has a bunch of activities and interest groups you can take part in, including wine tastings, book clubs, cooking groups, sporting events, moms-and-tots, Bunko, bowling, kids activities and more. Members also gather monthly for social evenings, coffee or group outings.
The Newcomers and Neighbors open house will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 Wednesday (9/15) morning at the Barrington Area Library at 505 N. Northwest Highway. The best part? Free babysitting is provided! For more information about the group, visit their website at BarringtonILNewcomers.org.
If you are at all curious about this group, please come check us out! I’m a member of BNN and just want to say this is a great group of friendly, fun people. We have a big roster of activities; books groups, wine tasting, mom’s groups, cooking, bunko, bowling, and many others. We’d love to have you join us!
