The carnival runs tonight, from 5-10PM, tomorrow, September 17th, from Noon until 10PM and Sunday, September 18th, from Noon -5PM. There will be lots of rides including “The Screamer” and “Super Shot” for the older kids plus the “Fun Slide” and “Go-Gator” for the wee ones…
The price is $20 for 20 tickets or $1 for individual tickets. You can also buy a “One Day Fun Pass” for $27 or a “Two Day Fun Pass” for $47 which are good for unlimited rides from Noon until 4PM on Saturday or Sunday.
There will also be games to play, prizes to win, face painting and a great lineup of entertainment including a cake walk, jugglers, local dance teams and Karaoke on both Friday and Saturday nights. Plus, there will be a great food menu, including Italian sausage, BBQ pork sandwiches, Italian beef, brats, corn dogs and fresh roasted corn in Grove’s own Food Court. For dessert? You’ll find some bake sale items, cotton candy and snow cones, too!
You’ll find the carnival in Grove School’s parking lot at the corner of Illinois and South Cook Streets in Barrington. The school’s address is 900 South Grove Avenue in Barrington. There’s plenty of parking on the school’s playing fields and, for an even better look at what’s in store, check out this video of last year’s carnival.
The carnival is the Grove Avenue Parent & Teacher Organization’s largest fundraiser of the year and covers the cost of a variety of student programs. Over the past few years, the Carnival has made it possible for the group to purchase computers, Grove’s initial set of Smart Boards, a new scoreboard, digital imaging devices and a climbing wall for the school’s gym.
