If you love country music, you’ll have a lot of company during a great concert happening at McGonigal’s Pub in downtown Barrington tomorrow night, Thursday, August 16th.  Local fans have been buzzing about tomorrow’s Brian Collins Band concert.  There is no fee for admission and, the word on the streets is that it’s going to be a great show with a fun crowd that’s been looking forward to this night out for weeks!

The Brian Collins Band willl perform their signature sets on the stage in the pub’s second level, which fits up to 100 people. With great pub food & drinks plus a fun crowd of fans, this show is sure to deliver a final slice of summer fun before the kids return to school next week.

Our Barrington EATS food writer, Kelly Donlea, is a huge fan of the band.  Kelly says she and her friends are loyal followers and, after seeing him perform at Chicago’s Beat Kitchen, they worked to convince him that a stop in Barrington would be well worth his while.

Kelly says, if you like Zac Brown, Lady Antebellum or Sugarland, you’re going to love this show!

And you’re also going to love seeing a Barrington dad open up for the group.  Barrington resident, business owner and Roslyn dad, Mark Whitaker, is a local favorite, often playing open mic nights for packed crowds.

The Brian Collins Band’s debut EP is available on iTunes. Check it our before the show, or just come out to see for yourself.

The party starts on Thursday, August 16, at 7 p.m. upstairs at McGonigal’s, 105 S. Cook Street in Barrington and you’ll find more information about the Brian Collins Band online at BrianCollins.us.

  1. Dancing on tables??? Maybe we need to rewrite this post with a lead that reads something like this:

“The Brian Collins Band expected to draw large crowd of table dancers to McGonigal’s Pub in downtown Barrington…” 😉

Sounds like the audience is going to make this an even better show tonight and I’m looking forward to it!
