When the Henry and Adams families were planning their annual holiday gathering this Christmas, they decided they wanted to do something different and have a party with a theme. As a surprise to their children, they contracted me to teach a cooking class as their party event.

Big fans of Chinese takeout, the Henry’s and Adams’ wanted to learn how to make some of their favorite dishes in their own homes. We chose Orange Chicken, Fried Rice and the Edamame Mandarin Orange Salad from my 30 Spectacular Salads cookbook as their menu.

With a little guidance, the kids and their parents learned that a great Chinese meal doesn’t have to be takeout or loaded with unnatural ingredients or msg. I work any class around your menu desires and tastes and tailor the instruction toward skills that will improve your cooking ability for life, not just with one recipe.

The cost of a class is $300, which includes all the food and leftovers as well as the instruction and clean up. Yes, clean up. If you have an Organizing Dinner party, you don’t have to provide any other food or wash any dishes! At just $300, if you have a group of 20 women, couples or family members, that’s just $15 each for a great night out and a full meal.

I also offer this class as a one-on-one instruction, where I will teach you strategies for shopping, cooking and managing your kitchen for more organized success – with meals your family will eat — night after night after night.
