It’s election day in Barrington and we have results to announce in a vote of our own. We’ve tallied the results from our 2013 Spring Break Photo Contest and have not three, but FOUR winners to announce, because there’s a tie!
We’ll get to that in a minute, but first, the photo which received 32% of the votes cast, the most in our contest, is this one from the Heick family that we call “Spring Break & The Funky Flu Crew”. They had high hopes for a fun family spring break, but the flu had other plans…
For taking the top spot in our contest, the Heick family wins $100 in Chamber Bucks, a check they can spend at any Chamber member business in the Barrington area. The second place prize in our contest, receiving 30% of the votes, goes to this photo called “Beauty and the Beach” and submitted by Barbara Freund.
Barbara wins $50 to spend at Wool Street Grill & Sports Bar! That’ll come in handy, especially as we return to the days when we can dine, drink and relax with friends in Wool Street’s awesome outdoor patio. And the tie is for the third place, with both photos receiving 7% of the votes cast. First, there’s “Mirror Lake at Yosemite National Park” by Sherri Nachtsheim.
And sharing the third place spot is shared by this photo, “Beach Rainbow”, submitted by Lynn Cannon.
Both Sherri and Lynn each win a $40 gift card to spend at Deer Park Town Center! Did you know there are new places to shop at Deer Park Town Center? Clarks Footwear recently opened near Avalon Salon and Day Spa. Also new is Bevello, a women’s designer boutique for clothing, shoes, accessories and gifts located next to Brighton Collectibles. And Lululemon Athletica is opening this month! They’ll be announcing the official Lululemon opening date at Facebook.com/DeerParkTownCenter.
