In addition to the photos from last weekend’s Barrington Councours d’Elegance and a feature on the Chicago Bears Youth Football Camp that took place this week in South Barrington, Barrington Life editor, Dan McCaleb says you’ll also find the following features:

• Barrington’s Jeffrey Pride Foundation, a local group that raises money for childhood cancer research in honor of a local boy who died at age 7 from childhood leukemia. A July 26 golf outing at Makray Memorial Golf Club is a fundraiser for the foundation.

• This fall, every middle school student in District 220 will be issued a Netbook laptop for use at school at home. We write about how that came about, and what it will mean for students and parents.

• In Their Life features Dr. Kurt O. Thomsen, Flint Creek coordinator for the Barrington Area Council of Governments and its Water Resource Initiative.

• We also have stories on fitMS NeuroBalance Center and its upcoming fundraiser, a Q&A with the general manager of Kriser’s pet store, and so much more.

Barrington Life is owned by Shaw Media and mailed weekly to 17,000+ homes and businesses in zip code 60010. Watch for next week’s issue in the mail on Thursday. In the meantime, you keep track of their latest stories on their website at MyBarringtonLife.com.

(In June, 365Barrington.com entered into a news & marketing partnership with Shaw Media and Barrington Life newspaper to work together in promoting Barrington events, stories, organizations and businesses online and in print.)
