365BarringtonTV Reporter Catherine Goetze lined up a rare, on-camera interview with Meatheads Burgers & Fries Founder and CEO Tom Jednorowicz during the restaurant’s grand opening in Barrington on Monday. Tom typically prefers to stay out of the media spotlight, but he agreed to talk with Catherine about their decision to bring Meatheads to Barrington.
Barrington’s Meatheads is the 12th location for this rapidly expanding specialty burger concept promising to deliver a fun, family-friendly atmosphere and a simple menu with an emphasis on freshness and quality. Meatheads is opening a 13th location in Lincolnwood this September and Tom, a former executive at Potbelly Sandwich Works, says his near-term goal is to grow the Chicago-based business to 25 Meatheads locations. They’re also looking at expanding outside Illinois with with a Meatheads in Munster, Indiana.
Tom says the rapid pace of Meatheads’ growth is partly due to their family focus and community-based marketing initiatives, including programs that give back to local causes and reward students for achievements in reading and athletics.
