It’s homecoming week in Barrington and we have details about TWO community contests to promote Bronco team spirit throughout town this week leading up to game day. The new president of the BHS Football Quarterback Club, David Jacobs, and Big Red, the student group in charge of BHS school spirit, are putting a challenge out there to the business community here in Barrington this week. They’re asking businesses on Main Street & beyond to help paint the town red, black and white to show their team support leading up to Homecoming. There’s a great prize on the line for the Big Red/Quarterback Club’s new Barrington Business Spirit competition and we’re also searching for BARRINGTON’S BIGGEST BRONCO FAN in a new contest right here at 365Barrington.com.

Quarterback Club & Big Red’s Barrington Business Spirit Competition
David Jacobs is challenging businesses to decorate their storefronts to show their BHS team spirit by Tuesday, October 1st, in time for the Barrington Homecoming on October 5th.
David says his three main goals for the Quarterback Club are to 1.) raise the funds needed for the program, 2.) raise community awareness about the team and 3.) increase student participation as well.
“BHS is a big part of the community. We have over 3,000 students at our school in downtown Barrington and we have a lot of kids who are not only playing football but they’re also working in the community so I want to put as much momentum and support as possible behind the team before Homecoming and throughout the season.”
You can decorate your storefront with a general Barrington theme (red, black and white) or the homecoming theme “Under the Sea”. The BHS Clubs will judge your storefront based on creativity, adherence to theme, and overall effect.
The winner of the competition will receive the following:
· A 2’ x 3’ Banner to hang in their store window identifying them as the “Barrington Broncos Biggest Fan”
· A ½ page ad in the 2014 Broncos Football Program Book. A $350 value.
