Local restaurants, wineries and micro brewers will be handing out generous samples of their signature dishes and spirits at the 10th Annual Barrington Taste’fest & EXPO next week on Thursday, Oct. 17.
Hosted by the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce, this much-anticipated and popular dining event is the best way to sample foods from some of area’s finest eateries all in one night and under one roof.

NEW THIS YEAR at the Barrington Area Taste’fest, several restaurants will also present cooking demonstrations throughout the evening including Frantonio’s Italian Deli & Cafe, Hawthorn Woods Golf Club, Meals Like Mom’s, Tastefully Simple and Pinstripes Bowling, Bocce and Bistro.
As you sample dishes, you will also have the opportunity to peruse displays set up by 40 Barrington area businesses there to answer questions and distribute items that showcase their products and services.
Guests will also take home souvenir photos from the photo booth (also new to this year’s event), grab some fast cash in the Barrington Bank & Trust Money Machine, have a chance to win door prizes, raffles and games and enjoy live entertainment by the nationally renowned Amy Yassinger Jazz Ensemble.
Tickets cost $40 in advance and $50 at the door. They’re on sale now, but selling fast!

Proceeds from Taste’fest & EXPO benefit local small businesses and the community through the Chamber’s educational programs, networking groups, and business resources; and benefit the BACC’s Lauren Brown Memorial Scholarship.
