Staring tonight, the PG-13 rated sci-fi thriller Gravity is now playing at The Catlow Theater in Barrington.
When it comes to knowing the latest movies in theaters across the country, Catlow Theater owner Tim O’Connor is the go-to guy in town. I talked with Tim this week to get his take on Gravity and why he recommends coming to see it at The Catlow.
Gravity Synopsis
Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock), a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney) in command of his last flight before retiring. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone-tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness.
The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth…and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.

Why go? Here’s Tim’s Take
“There is already a lot of Oscar buzz surrounding GRAVITY, particularly for Sandra Bullock’s performance. We will be showing it in glorious 2-D, so for those who don’t care for all the 3-D effects, including wearing the special glasses, The Catlow is the place to go!”
