Calling all KIDS!!! Barrington’s third annual KidFest and community Kite Fly is coming up this Saturday, May 3rd, from 11 to 3 p.m. at Citizens Park! (I can’t believe it’s May already!)

KidFest is a hit with both children and parents and is hosted at Citizens Park, thanks to three community sponsors. The Barrington Park District, Leave No Child Inside and the Barrington Breakfast Rotary Club work together to organize this kite flying, nature learning, participatory outdoor fest at Barrington’s Citizen’s Park every spring.

Many families participated in last year’s KidFest. All are welcome and it’s TOTALLY FREE!
Here’s some of the fun stuff planned for this year’s KidFest:
Stomp Rockets
Yoga
Soap Bubbles
Pond Discoveries
Bean Bag Toss
Learn About Worms
Touch Animal Artifacts
Discover the World of Mammals, Reptiles and Amphibians
Design Your Own NOtecards
Color Your Own Magnet
Slacklining
Mud Painting
Build a Birdhouse
Climb a Tree
There will also be Kids Fun Runs. All participants will receive their very own racing bib and the first 100 children who race will receive a treat bag!
There are just three things to do when you arrive! Visit one of three registration booths, register your family for FREE wristbands and enjoy a day of fun-filled activities. In case of rain, this event will be re-scheduled for Sunday, May 4th, from 11 a.m., also at Citizens Park. See you at KidFest!
