Prom 2014 is the cover story but reporter Tarah Thorne says you’ll find more great news and features inside this week’s issue.  Here’s a sneak peek…

Ground-breaking decision for Barrington Village Center
Barrington village board members approved a one-story amendment to the Hough and Main Street Village Center expected to be built across from the Catlow Theater this fall. Residents can expect mostly good eats and retail stores, according to chosen developers. Read more about the build-out in this week’s paper.

Cancer walk and celebration
The Wellness Place and supporting community members made a celebration out of raising money for cancer services Sunday. A walk, concert and balloon release at the Arboretum of South Barrington made for some neat photos. Check it out!

Shout for BHS sports
The BHS girls soccer team has clenched the Mid-Suburban League champion title and will now start postseason play. BHS baseball and softball teams are also gearing up for a taste of playoffs. Read this week’s sports preview in Barrington Suburban Life.

Horizon Farms
