Nearly 100 local businesses, community organizations and educational resources will showcase their products and services at the BizEd Community Expo. Plus, the S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Fair will introduce visitors to challenging career fields, with hands-on activities for all ages.

The Expo will also offer guests the opportunity to learn about the many and varied resources available right in our own backyard generating revenues that keep dollars in the Barrington community and contribute to its growth in all sectors, including education.

“We’re breaking new ground and making history here.  Teaming business with education is a win/win for all of us,” said BACC President Suzanne Corr, noting that this new event replaces the Chamber’s previous community expo held last year at the Barrington Park District.

“BizEd has a new focus, teaming up business-education resources in a new partnership with Barrington 220 that will draw several hundred visitors from all over the Barrington region.”

“The school district shares a common goal with the Chamber: to promote economic and educational growth in the Barrington area,” said Dr. Jeff Arnett, Chief Communications Officer Barrington 220 School District. “Partnering the community business expo with the school district’s popular Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fair will showcase commercial enterprise alongside instructional programs that prepare students for future jobs and opportunities. With Barrington High School as the venue, this will be a fun and exciting event for the entire community.”

The BizEd Community Expo will also host a food court of local restaurants along with entertainment including youth performances, live music, robotics demonstrations and competitions and more.
