The Barrington Farmers Market reopened for the 2014 season this week and it was so great to see some new faces among the many vendors who have returned for this year’s market. 365BarringtonTV reporter James Owen and filmer Jack Coombs had a great time covering the market which offers fresh, local produce, food & drinks, crafts, family activities and entertainment from 2 to 7 p.m. on Thursdays all summer long.
If you couldn’t make it to the market on Thursday, here’s our video tour of some of the many highlights you’ll find, with new seasonal produce and flowers bringing fresh flavor and color to the market each week.
The market will run from June 19th through October 16th this year featuring weekly entertainment and a different children’s activity each week. There’s a list of regular vendors who will set up tents every Thursday plus some rotating vendors who will only be there on specific dates.
The Barrington Farmers Market was started in 2000 by the Barrington Village Association (BVA), a homeowner’s group made up of residents living in the downtown Village area.
