Just to Recap, Here are Kate’s 5 Simple Tips to Help Us Cozy Up our Homes for Fall

Layer Area Rugs
“We love layering rugs. The easiest way to do this is with a large sisal rug and a smaller oriental, Tibetan, hide or geometric rug on top. Fall is all about layering textures.”

Cozy Fireplace
“What’s more cozy than a fireplace? Adding birch logs, either in the fireplace, bundled in a basket aside or stacked for display is a great way to bring the outside in but without the cold!”

Plush Pillows
“The most inexpensive way to add warmth to your home for fall is by adding some new plush pillows.  Try throwing in an animal print or faux sheepskin to cozy it up!”

Bedding Layers
“Add a few extra layers by tossing a chunky throw at the foot of your bed or a little extra down in your duvet.  Change out your cotton sheets for flannel!”

Light it Up
“Candles make a space feel warm and inviting. Add candles to your lanterns, dining room table or just a great scent on your kitchen counter. Pick up our favorite fall scent here at Kate Marker Interiors – Luxe Linen by Aquiesse.”
