Deer Park Town Center is rolling out the red carpet for Santa’s arrival on Friday night with fireworks, a marching band and some impressive new holiday decorations this year including a giant Christmas Tree.
Crews have been busy erecting the brand new 42-foot tree which is built on a circular platform surrounding the Deer Park Town Center gazebo.
The tree is covered with giant ornaments and tiny white LED lights which will be lit up for the first time ever when Santa arrives at 6 p.m. on Friday, November 7th. Deer Park Town Center Marketing Director Regina Verdico says you can see the giant tree from almost every part of the shopping center.
“We really wanted to bring something new and special to Deer Park Town Center and make a bold statement with our holiday decor and this tree looks amazing! Every time I see it I get this little-kid-at-Christmas feeling. It’s exciting to see and I’m thrilled!”
The giant tree is just the highlight from a list of new holiday decorations you’ll find throughout Deer Park Town Center this season including new garlands on signage and the arch in the center of the shops plus new greenery on the lampposts along Rand Road. And everything will be all lit up and looking festive for Santa’s arrival tomorrow night!
The Stevenson High School Marching Band will lead the way with Santa following in a firetruck as he makes his big entrance by the holiday tree at 6 p.m.
The fireworks display will also take place at 6 p.m. and you can see the show from many places at Deer Park Town Center. If you’re near the tree, you’ll spot the fireworks over the arches behind Crate & Barrel.
Guests start gathering at about 4 p.m. for Santa’s arrival and you can shop while you wait! Whole Foods will serving hot cider to help keep you warm and there will be a toy soldier stilt walker greeting shoppers as they prepare to greet St. Nick.
