A new month and a major change for our family have inspired a new contest here at 365Barrington.com. For the month of November, we’re inviting you to enter our #365BThankful Photo Contest by sharing a picture of someone, someplace or something you’re thankful for. It could be your pet, it could be your people or perhaps it’s long walks through the park or your aunt Penny’s pumpkin pie. Anything goes! Snap and share a photo of one of the simple things you’re grateful for to help us get into the Thanksgiving spirit. In turn, you’ll have a chance to win one of three prizes we’re offering to say thanks to YOU for joining us here at 365Barrington.com. I’m kicking things off with a quick little note about someone special to our family.
In the summer of 2010 we met the sweetest young woman when we were looking for someone to care for our children while I worked from home. Her name is Carrie and she’s walked through our front door bringing great joy to our kids (and comfort to me) on countless weekdays ever since. Little did we know then how dear Carrie would become to our family. Today is Carrie’s due date for her first child. She’ll be bringing her own baby into the world this week and her last day working with us was on Halloween. Our daughter Grace was in tears at the dinner table tonight because Carrie’s presence has become such a constant in our home. We love her, we miss her already and we’re so thankful for all the special memories we have shared.
