Two months after the newly restored Barrington White House grand opening on July 4th, the community center has featured an exciting mix of cultural, educational and social events with many more to come.  Before we take a look at the list of Barrington White House events scheduled for September, enjoy reporter Tommy Derken’s VIDEO tour of the new space on opening day.

Formerly the historic John Robertson Jr. House built in 1898, Barrington’s White House has been transformed with a 6-million dollar renovation to create a community and cultural center, while preserving one of Barrington’s most notable historic properties.  The project’s completion was timed to coincide with the year of Barrington’s Sesquicentennial Celebration.  Generous community donors made the project possible and they are still working toward raising the full amount to complete the restoration and furnish the facility. See the donor list here and, to make your own contribution, visit BarringtonsWhiteHouse.com.

For an opportunity to see this beautiful property for yourself, here is September’s list of upcoming Barrington’s White House events. Unless noted, programs are free and do not require advance registration…
