One of the best things about Language Stars is their team of native speaking teachers from more than 20 countries, including teachers like Lina Moreno.
Lina Moreno is one of Language Stars’ Spanish teachers in Barrington, and currently teaches on Saturday mornings. She has been a part of the Language Stars team for over 5 years, and has an extensive background in education.
Here is what Lina has to say about her home country and culture:
“I am from Manizales, Colombia I come from the coffee region. What I love most about my country is coffee, soccer and dancing Salsa. When I was a child I used to belong to my school dance and theater club!”
Another teacher you’ll meet at Language Stars is Charlotte Stroumza, a French teacher currently teaching their 8-10 years French class on Wednesdays.
“I was born and raised in Marseille, Southern France (Provence). I often feel like Mediterranean should be its own nationality, and this is how I first identify. I love my city because it is a huge port, a crossroads between cultures and continents. What I miss the most about my city is the sea, the smells and flavors of the food, and the charm of the markets!”
What do you love most about your family’s culture, your favorite part of the world or your favorite local destination and why? Enter the Around the World contest for a chance to win one of these three sweet language-themed prizes!
