This is the very last weekend for ice skating at The Arboretum of South Barrington with the last day of skating coming up Monday, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. They’re celebrating this season on skates with a special Paint the Ice event from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, January 15th.
Kids of all ages, adults and artists alike are invited to Arboretum on Ice on Friday. Paint will be provided and your inner creative artist is encouraged to paint on the ice. When all art is completed, we will seal in everyone’s art work creating a beautiful and large art rendering everyone can skate on!
Hours for Arboretum on Ice are from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and on Sunday from noon until 7 p.m. On Martin Luther King Junior Day (Monday, January 18th), Arboretum on Ice will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission costs $12 including skaes or $8 without and the ice rink is located in the big white tent right outside the iPic Theater.
The Arboretum of South Barrington is an upscale mix of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues including iPic Theaters, L.L.Bean’s first Midwest outdoor gear and apparel store and the incomparable Pinstripes Bowling/Bocce/Bistro. The open-air center is named for the lush treescapes and gardens of its landscape, and for the large tree farm that formerly stood on the site.
