On this day in 1970, One Hit Wonders Shocking Blue went to No.1 on the US singles chart with ‘Venus’, making them the first Dutch act to top the US charts. It made No.8 in the UK.
Bananarama took the song to No.8 on the UK chart in 1986.

𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘄𝘀
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
✦ 2 pounds chicken breast boneless and skinless
✦ 1 cup celery, diced
✦1/4 cup chopped green scalllions
✦1/4 cup raisins
✦1/2 cup salted cashews whole or pieces
𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗰𝗲
✦1/3 cup white cooking wine
✦1/4 cup mango chutney original or hot
✦3 tbls curry powder
✦1 cup light mayo
𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
1. Season chicken breasts with olive oil, salt and pepper. Cook chicken on the grill until cooked. Dice chicken into small 1 inch pieces.
2. Combine chicken, celery, scallions and raisins together.
3. In a separate bowl, mix together wine, chutney, curry powder, and mayo.
4. Pour sauce over chicken mixture.
5. Place cashews in a small skillet and cook over medium heat for 3-5 minutes or until roasted to your liking. We recommend keeping the cashews on the side until ready to serve. This dish is also excellent as leftovers served cold!
6. This recipe makes approximately 5 servings (200g each).

Join The Community Church of Barrington for Makers & Bakers Art Fair on Sunday, May 4th from 1 to 4 pm inside the church at 407 South Grove Avenue. CCB is located in the Village of Barrington on the corner of Lincoln and Grove Avenues.
Our creative church is also the home to Art Together Studio. Miss Alayne is the Art Director and teacher to classes starting at age 3 and go to adult. You will see these art students selling their work alongside 30 vendors.
You might remember Community Church as the Cookie Walk church. Come hungry, treats will be available. Talented members and vendors are making or baking their goods, this is a neighborhood craft fair. Family friendly and a perfect time to find something wonderful to give Mom for Mother’s Day.
